REACh – on target faster and more professionally
REACh stands for
Registration,
Evaluation,
Authorisation and
restriction of
Chemicals and for a single EU Chemicals Regulation that came into effect in 2007. In the automotive industry, REACh affects all manufacturers, importers and used of chemicals, making them responsible for limiting the risks for man and the environment caused by chemicals and for providing users with appropriate safety information.
Only chemical substances that have previously been registered may now be put into circulation in the EU. Being the "parties putting into circulation", the obligation to register therefore lies with the manufacturers or importers. "Downstream users", i.e. companies that then purchase chemical substances on the EU market, are likewise subject to extensive obligations regarding the provision of information and reporting.
The data requirements increase with the quantities of the substance to be registered. In addition to a technical dossier, it may also be necessary to prepare a Chemical Safety Report (CSR), in the context of which exposure scenarios also have to be determined. The regulations are both complicated and complex! In collaboration with ADELPHI Consult, PARTSLIFE can effectively relieve your workload in connection with the fulfilment of REACh requirements.
