PARTSLIFE - Compact
PARTSLIFE, the disposal system of the automotive parts industry based in Neu-Isenburg, was founded in 1995 by automotive parts
manufacturers and dealer cooperatives in order to avert impending, very stringent legislation on waste disposal in automotive
workshops. As a result of the successful implementation of the "Voluntary Self-Commitment" at that time, PARTSLIFE was able to
contribute to the existing legislation turning out to be moderate and implementable for all players in the industry.
PARTSLIFE is today supported by over 60 leading brands in the automotive parts industry and the automotive parts trade. All kinds
of waste generated at 7,500 workshops in Germany are currently disposed of through a network of more than 40 contractually tied,
certified specialist disposal companies. While these workshops pay the disposal companies for the low-cost disposal service
negotiated by PARTSLIFE, they additionally benefit from supplementary services, such as a free waste balance in the case
of complete disposal, a disposal handbook and environmental consulting.
Since the year 2000, PARTSLIFE has additionally been offering supplementary services that give the system partners a high
degree of added value. The industry-specific solution for fulfilling the German Packaging Ordinance (PVS), the concept for the
return of used parts, and the examination of the disposal situation at different locations of our partners in industry and trade,
generally lead to high, on-the-spot cost savings.
PARTSLIFE plans to expand its activities to other countries of the European Union in the short to medium term. In this
context, a "Letter of Intent" has already been signed with Sernauto, the Spanish association of automotive parts manufacturers.
